Also we have the discrepancy of the finishes, as I’ve read the earlier models have the glossy finish and the later models have the matte or satin finish. I’ve also read that when replacement parts for the console were ordered it was basically a crap shoot on if you’d get the glossy or satin finish. So basically my goal is to figure out what the color is. Replicating the glossy part is easier than figuring out how to get the satin finish right.

I have used Duplicolor Bright Silver Metallic (PS2), it initially too shiny fit 2005 model tears and up but when it was really dry I knocked the finish back with a light rub down with a fine wet and dry paper used with water. This is OK on flat surfaces but rubbing down sharply curved surfaces would be a bad idea.
I want to use a semi-gloss clear coat if I can find it.
There is a Mercedes silver said to be a good match but have not found it and so I have no comment on it.
I read that the OEM finish is applied during the moulding operation. If you study the parts this looks probable, as no overspray is visible.
I want to fully solve this before I attempt the final spray on my new modified bezels.
