I too have read about the finish being applied during the molding process. I’ve also read somewhere that there was a possibility there were other companies supplying the consoles, as they have the same part# but different finishes. So when ordering a replacement center console Chrysler didn’t know which finish they would receive. Confusing but everything about the Crossfire is confusing lol. Thanks though for the info hopefully more can chime in as well.
