Parts are made in advance, some parts could be have been moulded in lesser quantities at any point in time so when a colour change is made the chances of all the vendors having completed the same numbers of each part in a vehicle set is improbable.
The parts could used in mixed batches when the parts show up JIT at the assembly line.
I have not heard of cars with mismatched parts though. The parts I have purchased through eBay were true to the ‘04 - ‘05 colour change. Having to respray all my modified parts I did not need to worry about it.
