Hey guys, I didn’t want to start a new post but I also am a new owner of an 05 base roadster. I just brought her home on Fri and checked all the mechanical things but did not check the gas cap...while going over her in the garage (Ohio winters) I noticed the missing cap. My question is, why didn’t the CEL alarm make me aware of this? Could the dealership jabs disabled something? They had to know since they filled it before I left. You might want to read up on the "Evaporative Control System", the pressure test only happens if fuel is between 1/4 and 3/4 full. There are other parameters that must be agreed upon as well, but I don't remember what they are.
