Yes, I have a beef. Promised (induced enlistments and reenlistments for decades) free medical and dental, all later denied all veterans in my category. Promises broken, never is a good thing. Your sounding ignorant of the way we treat and treated veterans, that's OK, That's my (and all vets) beef, and a sore spot on our system. No argument, just facts. I admit I am ignorant about the Canadian healthcare system, ergo my humorous post you replied to. Happy with the system here, NO. Have to live with it? YES. No argument, the changeover to turning 65 is much more expensive (again, promises broken). We as veterans all feel the system would rather us die than to honor the commitments given. SAD.
