We should know the color of the wire past the creation of the 'service manual', only denotes what it should have been (wire shortages in the plant is a slave to rollout of the vehicles/productivity). Gone are the days when MOST people can do more than change a flat (sans the AAA like services?). With most of todays vehicles, all you (as a driver) are is a passenger without responsibility to be responsible while DRIVING that vehicle. Think about it.....

So we should have cars that only have red and green wires? That does not make sense to me.
