As far as I know, a DRB III is the only thing that will communicate with the crossfires. You can get a china clone for about 150 or so but you also need a laptop to install the program and its kinda technical to get it working. I also had an autel scanner that could communicate with a few of the modules if you ran it as a Mercedes. Here is a link with some info on the drb emulator. I found it worth it if you ever had to go to the dealer even one time.
