Last fall I bought a 2005 crossfire limited roadster convertible with 5000 miles on it. It is yellow with a black top and automatic transmission. I put it away for the winter. The alternator is making a noise that sounds like a bearing. I put a stethoscope on it to verify where the noise was coming from, and it does appear to be the alternator. The car is virtually brand new. Already I am frustrated because the Chrysler dealers in the Pittsburgh area. They suddenly dumb down when it comes to crossfires. I put a new battery in it shortly after I got it. I found that when it sits idle for over a week, something would drain the battery. Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem. I have spoken to other crossfire owners who don't use their cars as a daily driver. Some have experienced the same problem. Is this a common problem with these things? Thank you.
