The plan was to drive for acouple more years then get a C7.

But now have to go a different route, looking at 4 door canyons.
Speedy for $700 it may not be worth the aggravation fighting with insurance company and then you may have a car with a salvage title. You may want to skip the claim entirely and just fix the car yourself. The title thus stays in your name and you do not have to carry comprehensive. If you want the car insured go with Hagerty; There you set the value and the annual rates are very reasonable.
