As testing networks are broadened to catch people with less serious illnesses, case counts then reflect this and mortality rates go down.

you may be wondering why this underreporting continues. ???

Well, think Election Year.........
.there are many forces in play to prolong the fear and to make this seem far worse than it is, and the steady drumbeat of 24 blue state Governors to resist opening up the economy plays into the malaise they want to create. You cannot watch a press conference without seeing the seething hate of the media.

Have you heard CNN discussing the under reporting of cases ?

MOST ppl have NO idea how hard it is to produce/ship/mobilize/test EVERY citizen in the USA. IT takes TIME! First DOCTORS are the PRIMARY director of tests, when they direct that test It MUST be there to administer. Then it get sent out to read, then the results are sent back/posted. All that administrative crapola follows. BEFORE any treatment (when you presented to a healthcare person) should begin (testing/evaluating), you need to do a workup. NO ONE can order themselves a test UNTIL they are generally available, and then it should ONLY be administered by a competent person directed to do so! I don't know about many other people but I cannot expel (put mildly) a test no matter how hard I try. PANIC and agendas drive the hysteria. Go to a doctor/person authorized to administer a test, it is the FIRST step you need to do to get diagnosed. THEN a whole lot of things follow. Testing is not going to do anyone any good until those who are SICK are identified/researched/treated. The rest is secondary (which is now being done but for many, not soon enough.

I also am at risk, as is my MRS as well (both 65 and I am additional risk) so I am isolating until things get more under control. I do not trust many who call themselves 'experts', especially those who are supposed to be balanced in their evaluations of treatment options (see my post about the extreme bias in drugs for temporary treatments). It is up to the INDIVIDUAL to isolate/protect themselves until a proven treatment is WIDELY available (not too soon by a long shot).

IMHO this all is driven by MOSTLY MONEY (from new drugs/treatments) by using that 'P' word (yeah, o l I t I c s). PERIOD!
