Since the supposed 2007/2008 part was manufactured in 2004 that does cast a little doubt over the seller's competence. That part is somewhat scuffed-up in my car and the fact that the part with an "unknown opening" costs $45 less would make that hole easy to live with... if only someone knew how to obtain the functional part that snaps in there. I don't care if it works.
If your going to replace it anyway, get the least expensive one. If you want to mount a switch and the one with the 'hole' is that least expensive one, you'll have to adapt it to make it look as good as you want it to.
