Default Changes to 2007/2008 headlight switch?

Hi guys, to those of you with a 2007/2008 Crossfire what goes into the cutout that exists in this 2007/2008 panel:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2008-C...A/223515309653

Verses the 2004/2005/2006 headlight switch panel that is a bit simpler:

I see something mentioned about headlight leveling? Could that be for some kind of switch?

You are making the assumption that the person who wrote the eBay ad knows what they are talking about.

Mine is an 07 - do these photos help you any?
I BELIEVE in the UK and/or UE, there is a headlight leveling switch in that position.

In any event, in the USA, that space has no function in any model year.

Since the supposed 2007/2008 part was manufactured in 2004 that does cast a little doubt over the seller's competence. That part is somewhat scuffed-up in my car and the fact that the part with an "unknown opening" costs $45 less would make that hole easy to live with... if only someone knew how to obtain the functional part that snaps in there. I don't care if it works.

I think they are actually showing part #0YA49ARKAA, which has the switch for the auto headlight level feature, vs. YA47BWNAA referenced in the listing. I found the two part numbers in the 2007 and 2008 parts manuals, but the partial copies of the 2007 and 2008 owners manuals I have don't reference how to use it. In fact, they show the same photo of the headlight switch as in the earlier model year manuals that do not show the auto level switch. Either way, the part will fit your dash.

If your going to replace it anyway, get the least expensive one. If you want to mount a switch and the one with the 'hole' is that least expensive one, you'll have to adapt it to make it look as good as you want it to.

So is this the auto headlight level 'thingy' you mentioned?

This has to be it. It's the perfect shape to fit into that hole. And it's only $20, which truly makes it the right part!!! 😁

I know there a couple of people in Europe that would buy that part from you. From what I’ve been told it’s quite rare for them to come up for sale.
