Phil , go ahead and change your fuel filter,, I think you want to. if you have a problem call me. ,,if you want to check your fuel pressure under the hood on the fuel rail their is a black cap looke like a valve cap ( it is a valve cap) a auto parts place will have the hose and guage. you should at iddle be around 58psi
