Default TPMS Light is OFF

I've been looking at the TPMS light on the dash for nearly two years. It's an '05 so after 15 years one or more batteries failed.
Problem with replacing the sensor(s) was the age of the tires. They were original to the car and in excellent condition. The car
has only 9300 miles on it. Well, I finally decided to replace the tires and attack the TPMS problem at the same time.

Discount Tire had the tires I wanted and they were adamant that they could resolve the TPMS. I was skeptical to say the least.
This forum had me convinced that this was a big problem. Discount Tire said they would install 4 VDO 7004A 433 MHz sensors
and relearn the car. They installed the tires and the sensors only to show me the Bartech scanner screen that said it COULD NOT
relearn the car and that Chrysler proprietary software was required. (Hell, I knew that. Refer to my earlier statement about skeptical.)
I would have to take the car to a Chrysler dealer they said to get the car to see the sensors. I had earlier asked a local Chrysler dealer
for a quote on replacing all 4 sensors and relearning the car. The quote - $526.00. I honestly do not know what they would have charged
just to relearn the car with the Discount Tire sensors in it.

Enter forum member dedwards0323 in upstate SC. I had previously messaged back and forth with Dennis after reading that he had a laptop
loaded with the Crossfire software and an upscale Autel scanner that could relearn the car. He had used it on his own car after
getting the same story from Discount Tire. I met him at his house this morning, the day after Discount Tire installed the sensors.
In 15 minutes he had connected his laptop to the car, communicated with the car, scanned each tire/sensor and THE LIGHT WENT OFF!

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to dedwards0323. He is a gentleman and a scholar in my book.
