Default Re: spoilers opens and remains open - it is a 2005

spoiler: is that good?
you know, since i got my xf 1 year ago, i have been driving it without the spoiler...until now. and i have to tell you my experience, in case some1 has found himself in the same situation.
some times i drive it on the expressway, where i can reach some 115 kph (70 mph) for some time. enough to detect a strange humming that came and went cyclically.. for some time i was suspecting something around the transmission. i was like a whisper. but now. with the spoiler operative, it is gone. so thats it! i guess the turbulence increased and developed a wake that then broke and started over and over. hard to imagine, but then again, with the spoiler operative is gone. and that reminds me of a video: https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/au...demuro/page/3/
where this fellow tells that it is the stupidest feature ever. the thing is, he didnt drive the car long enough to test this. but it is not only not the stupidest feature; it is the smartest. it works. and increases stability. i can feel the car more stable when i go beyond the point where it is deployed. so much for experts!
another feature that our beloved car has, and is unique. how about that? or is there another with something similar?
anyway, we have it, and is a safety device. enjoy it!
