I have had a similar experience, but never a total loss of power. When peddle pushed down hard the car acted like my limited, not like a SRT6. I think it was caused in my case by the intercooling pump not running continuously.
The IC pump should be running every tine the SC is running at the very least. Those original pumps broke too often and caused very poor performance. The new Bosch pumps part number ends with the numbers 010, the original was 002 I think.
