Are you telling me that yours never gets burning hot when the car sits in the sun for a period of time?

I only ask because my top was replaced - and if yours are not getting hot, then they must have not replaced some type of insulation when replacing mine.
There is NO insulation in the convertible top - it is fabric, period.
The housing you speak of contains the mechanism for the latch/D handle - there is no insulation in there.
