If the car has sat out in the rain a lot, you better tear the trim out of the back and start looking for water in the wells under the mat and in the wheel wells, back by the bumper.
If there is water in the harness or modules, this could be a long path back to health for the car. I hope it's something else.

Same here, strongly suspect water in the cavity (some call the trunk, or lower hatch), that module getting wet has caused a wide variety of issues. Same also for the alarm module, unless we had a schematic for the siren board, hard to tell if it 'communicates' with anything else. Always believed it was a +/- and a trigger in the siren 3 wire connector. Good luck!
