Maybe something sweet was dropped and is under the seats.
I would use this approach if an ant problem surfaced. We have these ants every once in awhile in our kitchen and when the Orkin Man comes, he puts out ant bait. Looks disgusting as it works because the ants will pile on. But as he explained it, the ants will take the bait back to the colony & feed the queen. Once the queen dies, the colony self-implodes.
I did have an ant problem in the Coupe when we traveled to the very 1st CAA event in St Louis way back. Went out to get in the car one morning and the passenger footwell had quite a few ants. Turns out the wife had stepped in something the day before and whatever it was, the ants sure liked it. Lucky for me, the "sticky stuff" was confined to the mud mat on that side and all I had to do was take the car to a self-service car wash & hose that mat off big time. Ant problem solved.
