they should follow the gauge adjustment ****, but they seem to be on some kind of delay, so they take about an extra half a second or so to adjust while the gauges will dim or brighten in 'real time'.

make your dimmer full low, wait 5 seconds, then make it full high. did the heater controls change? if not, you have a problem.
