I honestly resent that the person NEVER addressed the model crossover issue
and I suspect... but do not know if he was simply answering per his 'drilldown' list
and perhaps had no idea what he was talking about. They do that at helpdesks
because so many questions are so mind-numbingly stupid.
And... my question "will your US V2 that says it works on Chrysler work on my Chrysler?"
is on the surface an equally stupid question.
But like I said, the 'technical' department did not answer my questions, only 3 times said the same thing: US V2
Unsure... I continued. Now... I find the AUTEC DIGALINK.
Set up for just ONE MODEL. hmmm.
BUT... for $10 you can get the software for an additional model.
Plus it is less than $100.
While waiting for reports from any readers (chicken sound... baaawwwk bawk bawk)
I will consider getting this one with Chrysler AND R170 software later if the
Chrysler does not fill the bill.
AND, if in the sad situation that (which I am expecting) it works great for R170 but not crossfire
and for crossfire the more spiffy circuits are NOT read... for $10 more I can add cars that are
more mainstream than ours are. Chevy. Ford. Etc.
I am so cynical despite the FACT that I have no SOLID reason to think Mr. Davies at icarsoft is not 100% correct.
Obviously, the software for our cars exists.
Why would the be the ONLY software they cannot obtain and/or license?
Why would icarsoft be so unequivocal when saying US V2 will work for my car if it won't?
Amazon seems to have a guarantee right?
If it doesn't do as claimed... back it goes.
Here is the email I rcvd,

not using american english.....Hello Don,
Nice day.
Your car is Chrysler.
MB II can't work on it.
You need a US V2.0.
You can get one at Amazon or Ebay.
Thanks
Sincerely,
Barnett Davies,
You are on a 3 year old thread, look for something newer. This topic is always being chewed on.
