Stan, the choice is yours. You can help them or think this is something that just happened. IF nothing was wrong before they worked on it then I would have impressed on them to fix it. Their willingness to make it right sounds promising. Could easily be something they removed/moved out of the way during their work but I don't know what they had to do or did while they had the car. I would let them do all the 'looking into it' because everything you 'contribute' could actually be used against you later on. Let their ppl do what they research, or you might make it worse for yourself. In other words, you say it could be this, or it could be that. Or maybe you say it is this, ot that. They take your word and fix something that it isn't, do you see? No matter your actions you should not be involved except to tell them to fix the car and that's what you expect.
