I think your confusing the transmission fluid with engine oil.
Engine is 6.1quarts .
Absolutely WRONG !!!
Engine oil capacity is 8.5 quarts and often when doing an oil change 8.0 quarts will fill the engine because when you use the drain plug to change the oil approx half a quart remains in the oil pan due to the inside design of the surface
If using an oil extractor you might be able to add 8.5 quarts without overfilling it but it is safest to only fill with 8 quarts and check the oil level after a short drive
