Id' forgotten about the airbag issue. They are fixed under a recall, but some dealers have pulled the old, "We found additional airbag issues not covered under warranty, you owe us $1000. Pay up and we will release the car to you." Lesson: ANYTIME you take a car to a dealer, you are at risk, there are NO guarantees it will actually be 'free' and they can charge you anything they want to - you have no recourse and Chrysler is not going to be of any help.
