how to I get the lower clic clamp off
any problems with driving without this hose attached to the solenoid?
Folks an update, was able to get the bottom part of the hose off with a long extended reach needle nose pliers. The clic clamp that was attached from the factory was put on it in such a way that it was too close to the ac line, seems it also had some type of glue on the rubber itself that sealed itself to the metal tubing. Once that was resolved put on the new hose and used two zip ties at the bottom took it out for a couple of miles (15) at varying speeds and so far no check engine light. So what was changed was the purge valve solenoid, hose from NeedsWings, new gas cap. In case any one is interested the hose has the following stamped on it MB A 170 476 51 26 V Q2 and measures point 32 inches (8mm) ID (inside diameter) and .55 inches (14mm) OD (outside diameter).
