5) open your trunk and open the cover to your jack. Looking at the foam black pieces stick a piece of paper all the way down till you hit bottom down the far right side of the black foam pieces and if the paper comes back wet then we have a few more answers and can help with that issue as well.
There are people way batter at this than I am but this will get everyone started.
The well where the jack sits could be full of water and goldfish it would not have any affect on the locking system. The locking system pump is in the well behind the passenger, water in there leads to serious trouble and the cause of the leak should be found and fixed prior to putting another pump in the well.
