The well where the jack sits could be full of water and goldfish it would not have any affect on the locking system. The locking system pump is in the well behind the passenger, water in there leads to serious trouble and the cause of the leak should be found and fixed prior to putting another pump in the well.
Yes I'm sorry if I was unclear. I was talking about the area where the jack is located. The pump for the door locks and security module is located to the far right(passenger side) looking down at the trunk. I apologize again if I misled.
