I’ve just tried what you said with the alarm so with the window down I locked the car using fob and then put my arm in and open the door using the door handle from inside and nothing happened apart from door and boot unlocking no buzzer or anything noise
my car is a 2004 coupe
as you can see from the picture I’ve attached above showing the blown fuses it’s the number 10 and 5 fuses
tomorrow I will undo the cover under steering wheel and check the sensor/relay if it makes a clicking noise when the seat button is pressed
As it’s 2 fuse numbers 5 and 10 I’m guessing one is for seat electrics and other for spoiler?
I got a picture that had three arrows pointing to fuses 6,7 and 9.
I will say now your buzzer is bad If fuse 9 is blown try replacing it (and do the same thing with the door) happens a lot and a great thread here to replace repair the buzzer.
If you replace fuse 9 and the siren works then you know but if it blows the fuse again Id disconnect the siren and see if fuse 9 blows again after you replace it.
fuse 5 is your radio and fuse 10 is your speed control.
