It's just from the looking at the pictures of the rear diff in the repair manual, I can't see any clutches. It looks like a peg legger, maybe its a generic picture.

But it does make sense. I pulled into a 7-11 today and I managed to get one wheel in the air, due to the angle of the driveway. I could hear the right wheel spinning, but the car continued to drive up into the parking lot...
