I first would ask if the dealership still has their DRBIII tool. A lot of dealerships have moved on and have almost no support for the Crossfire and Mercedes disowned it long ago.
I knew what was wrong with my TMPS system and it still cost me almost 800 to repair it going the OEM way.
I would try to join a local group on Facebook or there may be someone on here that lives close that has the DRBIII emulator.
