That is not logical. If that was the case, it would "trip on high pressure" with the fan on position 1.
Additionally, when the A/C "trips" due to any issue, it disengages the clutch to the pump,
but it does not stop the blower from running.
It's almost certainly the "blower motor resistor", as it has been so damn many times over the past twelve years.
