Not so strange if the BCM is faulty or some thing is disconnected. That is why I asked if the consul buttons worked. His problem may not be with the key at all. I suggest looking into how the PCM system works in relation to door locks. Get the first key working with keyless entry then when you know it is good you can have another key made.BCM not PCM… Using dictation on my phone and it’s difficult to edit.
