So I would say the oil level sensor is telling you that there may be just a bit too much oil in the engine since the HI alarm is showing with the alarm sound. This system can be sensitive and has happened to me before. Some time back, after I performed an oil change where I added 8.5 quarts, I was driving around the roadways & twisties up near Fontana Lodge during a Crossfire weekend event. I knew that 8.5 quarts was just slightly more than the 8 liters recommended, but it wasn't that much more. Turns out that whole weekend, the HI level indicator & alarm kept going off as I drove those roadways. Got back home and siphoned out about a 1/2 quart. Never had the HI alarm again. And to this day, whenever I perform an oil change, like so many other Crossfire Owners, I only add 8 quarts of oil. The dipstick always shows full in my car. And as a follow-up, whenever I've gone to Fontana Lodge for a Crossfire weekend event since that time, the HI level warniing light & alarm never showed.
