Most likely the crankshaft position sensor, it can get too hot and that is why it took an hour for the car to start again. Buy a Bosch one only, various part numbers
0031532828, 0261210170 etc. There is an aftermarket version by Bosch that is super cheap do not buy genuine Mercedes or Chrysler.
