Oh gotcha, I'm not originally from this state, I moved here from Texas several years back with the military.
However, now that I've been here, San Diego specifically, it's not really as crazy as I thought regarding laws. You got smog, but it's just every 2 years and if the vehicle is 2000 or newer, it's just a OBDII plug-in, takes like 5 minutes. If you got a new car, you don't do a smog test until it's 8 years old. Easier than other states I've been to where you have to do an annual vehicle safety inspection, they don't do that here.
If they can do something about housing availability and prices, that's my big issue about this state. If you can find a house to buy or rent, it's like 3-4 times what it would cost in most other states.
