Most likely the crankshaft position sensor, it can get too hot and that is why it took an hour for the car to start again. Buy a Bosch one only, various part numbers 0031532828, 0261210170 etc. There is an aftermarket version by Bosch that is super cheap do not buy genuine Mercedes or Chrysler.
I'm with Ronman, try replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Less than $30 on Amazon. Give it a try and if that's not the fix you'll want the spare anyway. And how to replace it... This chick can do it easy enough. Don't drop/lose the bolt!
