Hi, this is my first post here so please bare with me.
So, I bought my 2005 Roadster a few months back with loads of problems attached. I’ve been tracking them down one by one and it’s almost back to a factory condition other than some cosmetics and the top.
I’ve been doing research as to why my top doesn’t operate and finally something caught my eye in
this post by pizzaguy. The Central Locking Pump. (Blinking Red constantly, no window operation) I had to remove mine because my trunk was waterlogged (replacing the top ASAP) and completely fried it (I haven’t opened it up yet, but given the amount of corrosion on the connectors it seems better to buy a used one). My question is, essentially, is there a bypass to this (such as a resistor mod, maybe? depending on how the pump communicates) since my wiring harness for the pump is shot from corrosion or am I going to have to stick with manual operation until I can replace the wiring and pump? Pics below are from when I took it out.
Also, I have no history on this car so i’m finding out new things about it all the time, pretty sure SKREEM has been modified or removed but I’m not sure how to tell.
