I think it's because a lot of other models overlap the R170 platform, using many of the same parts. Keys, suspension, engine parts, electronics are shared across the board for quite a few models in that generation of Benzes, meaning ample parts for all. One of the reasons why I decided to buy the Crossfire, because for everything except the exterior and the interior from the bulkhead back, I would have easy access to mostly affordable parts.
