Fine and dandy, but no excuse for Chrsyler and Michelin not working together to have them in the pipeline at the time the car was released. In fact, for an 'upscale' car, there really IS no excuse, especially if, as you say, these types of problems are to be expected. It should have been anticipated and the market should've been prepared.
