Hi folks... I've recently experienced an issue with the "alarm" system in my STR6. The alarm will suddenly come on and the flashers start--even when I am driving. I have to pull over and stop, remove the key and hit the locking button to shut it off. It will come back on randomly whether it's sitting or driving. Is this something to do with the "Brain" In the trunk well? I had issues with the Brain and water and have replaced a connector and some wiring that was severely corroded. I also have NO interior lights working off the doors, and the headlamp delay stopped also... possible association? I have removed the battery cables and thoroughly cleaned the terminals because this happened a few years ago and that was the problem. Apparently if the voltage isn't "right" for the brain, it can trigger that alarm system. Anyone else have this issue and if so, were you able to correct it? Thanks SO much!! BoB in Mass.
