You aren't getting spark OR you aren't getting fuel. There have been reports of complete failure of fuel pumps but there are also reports (TONS OF THEM) of Crank sensors going south.
I invested in a $40 fuel pressure test kit a few years ago, sure takes the guesswork out of this -and it's as easy as checking tire pressure.
