Default How safe are our cars from theft?

Hi friends!

How easy is it to steal a crossfire? Asking for a friend....
Totally joking, I'm not trying to steal any Crossfires BUT...it seems I have heard of numerous cars being stolen on Nextdoor App. I live in a pretty expensive neighborhood in Florida and on our island there is never really any crimes going on besides the occasional DUI from a neighboring bar. Now, the concern is that these thefts are starting to get closer and closer to here. Police does a great job patrolling my neighborhood just to be present and I'm hoping it would deter thieves but it really made me wonder how safe our cars are.
A lot of us have their alarm sirens disconnected or the batteries have leaked, not even making people aware their sirens are out of commission (I just ordered two one for my Limited and one for the SRT).
But assuming someone gets into the vehicle or the vehicle is unlocked...how easy is it for a professional to get the car to start?
I'd hope as difficult as it is to get a replacement FOB made, it's not easy to bypass the security features of this car and get it to start without a key but what do I know? I'm also surprised how they get to steal a 2015 BMW X5 (happened last week nearby) and today a 2016 Honda Odyssey.

Your input is appreciated.

Nick
