Misfires can be caused by bad injectors as well, just sayin'.

And if you changed plugs on such an old car but did not change WIRES as well, you run the risk of "Dumbass of the Year".
I changed plugs as routine maintenance on my Ranger when it was maybe 6-7 years old. Truck ran like hell as soon as I did that.
New wires fixed it.
