Dead? So you turned the key and there were no lights on the dash? Or you turned the key, the dash lit up with lights, but the starter would not engage - THAT is not dead, that is a "mystery no start" that we've known about since 2007.

I had this happen to my car ten days ago, just got my RCM back from DJ today, in fact. All fixed.
