I have NEVER seen that issue before. I am suspecting a loose 'something' within the 3rd brake light assembly. These LED third brake lights do not have a dual power lead going to them. Good it is working for now but I hope whatever 'opened' the left set of LED's doesn't open again. My 2008 service manual Vol 1, page 8L - 72 shows the CHMSL wiring/color code (plus wiring diameters), and the schematic on page 8L - 88 shows a few more connections in addition to the CHMSL. Strange one for sure! Good luck!
