Default Engine needing replaced?

Hello, I feel like every time I post I get responses from the same. So this is the next part of me trying to fix my crossfire. I finally got to a point of realization that I don't know enough about the crossfire's engine, and I took it to a shop. It has been in the shop for a week and throughout that time I only got a few updates. The cylinders were over fueling, and the 2 month old spark plugs were looking fouled. Today they called and told me they did a compression test, they were looking for around 100psi in each cylinder and got around 75 in each cylinder, one of higher because it was wet with fuel. But still all relatively the same. They told me this and informed me that it "needs a new engine" which I really don't believe, especially because I've gone to college for ase training. What I was taught is that in a compression test you're looking more that each cylinder is the same rather than looking for an actual spec amount of pressure. I know these engines are some what picky so I just want to know what people who might know more here think. I asked them to take a boroscope and look inside the cylinder so I can see the condition of the cylinders. But I really don't think it needs a nee engine.
