In your case, if you choose to add fluid, I would add 8 oz then wait a day to measure again. That will allow the fluid you add through the tube to settle into the transmission.
Ordered the fluid you described Pentosin ATF 134 above and just going to top off a little, wait a day and check again. If all looks good then I'll just measure again in a couple of weeks and it it's less again I know I have a leak somewhere. Fluid looked redish so seems alright at least. Thanks for your help
