You won't see any sign of moisture intrusion anywhere. It can leak down from the spoiler and into the trunk wells without being seen. Instead of tearing the whole trunk apart to get to the wells, go under the car with a screwdriver and pop the innermost plugs out of the right and left trunk wells. You'll find the plugged holes under there and they may be a bit covered with the factory sprayed-on undercoating but you'll see them. If a pile of water comes draining out of the right well I think you'll have identified the problem. Maybe draining all that water out will fix it for a while. Here's the plug you want push up and pop out with a screwdriver (where it says "new drain hole"). You aren't gonna damage anything on either side as there's nothing vital above those 2 plugs. Same plug on the other side from underneath as they are mirror images of each other. I popped mine out, water drained out each side, and just left them up in the wells but I caught it before it caused serious problems. Someday I'll fix the source of it but not today. Heck, maybe never.
hey how are you guys doing? I'm kinda new here but I have a related question. Since my doors trunk and gas cap all lock and unlock just fine using lock buttons in car, the pump is good right? But when I use the key fob it does nothing but blink the lights. That's not the pump is it? Or is there actually a part on the pump that controls that? Just wondering your thoughts, I Googled my question and found your answer. Thanks.
