Thanks for showing us the issue. First, it appears that you have the floppy handle issue when trying to open the trunk (boot), which is indicative of a pneumatic system failure, which is the pawl assembly that has ti be PUSHED into place in order to open the trunk. Until that is resolved I cant tell if the electronic lockout is engaged or not. Can you take some still images of the inside of the left hand side opening? I mean there must be some access just in order to accommodate the license plate fixture. The fact is these pneumatic lines travel along the trunk lip and if there was a full metal plate blocking this, I cant see how this would be engineered. Take the best photos you can with the best lighting possible. I like a challenge!!
