Guess I am just cheap, and had same problem, no/slow throttle response when cold. Got one on eBay for under a Benjamin. Automagic also has separate kickdown switch, suspect would work for manual.. Bought one that also had connectors/stubs so could test on bench. Works fine now and no codes.
